Fantastic place on it’s way to a michelin star. Make sure you make a reservation before going. Desserts were amazing, main courses very good, and entrees fit enough to get you going. Would love to come again if I am in the loire valley. Prices are very reasonable. Be informed, no menu in english language.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner. The entrees of smoked haddock with diced apple, shallots, fennel, and mozzarella and the ravioli with cheese in a stock with carrot, cabbage, mushroom, and ham were perfect. The courses of veal medallions with a red wine reduction over mashed potatoes and roasted rabbit over braised red cabbage and chestnuts was even better. The bread came from a local baker and had the perfect crust. We had a fine bottle of wine from burgundy. The owners are a husband and wife. The husband is the chef and the wife served. The wife was charming, attentive, and the reason this restaurant gets 5 stars.
Amazing dinner with the family here in October 2023. The food was brilliantly prepared, beautiful to look at, but most importantly very tasty. Bold flavours with a delicate touch. I’ve got a rather large appetite, but I did not leave hungry. Amazing attention to detail, friendly service. The wine list is perfect – not encyclopaedic, but a great selection of wines from the area, at (very!) fair prices.
We took advantage of the apartment above the restaurant – it was cozy and fairly priced. It also allowed us to have a second bottle of wine without the worry of having to drive home. Highly recommended.
Excellent (and by excellent, I mean I'd eat it for the rest of my life on a desert island) gazpacho starter for me, and great sardine starter for my husband. We really enjoyed the desserts as well. The mains were disappointing given the quality of the other courses - in any other restaurant they'd be absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was great (a bit mosquito heavy towards the end), and the service was very good, albeit a bit slow (for me).
Lovely evening at Auberge de La Croix Blanche. The food was fresh and tasty, the service was very friendly and professional and the backyard atmosphere was very charming. Definitely recommend

One of those places where every bite demands your full focus and you leave completely blissed out. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Reinstated my belief in the quality and pleasure of french cooking. To find a chef of this ability was shere joy. Even my wife who is a chef was at a loss for words. Just try the courgette flower starter to understand the flavours he generates. Cost 110 euros for 2 - but worth every cent!
